Student Support: Social Inclusion Officer; and Well-being Officer
Students are given support in many ways at Tabor. The student's lecturer will be the first point of contact for any academic type questions. The student's School Administrator will help with a variety of questions, and/or point the student to the right person, if they are unable to answer the query. Student Services are also a great help and support to the student. Tabor's librarians will help with any library related questions. Digital Learning and Innovations Team will help with any queries to do with Tabor Online, student Gmail, Mahara, etc. Tabor lecturers and staff do not want students to feel they can't ask for help! In addition please note the following for students with some unique needs:
Dr Lesley Houston is the Tabor Chaplain. Lesley will give advice and support to students, in relation to College policies and procedures to ensure that students receive the support they need and that they understand their responsibilities. Lesley will be able to refer the student on to the relevant staff member to be able to help them in their particular circumstances.
Michelle Krieg is the Well-being Officer. Michelle is available as a support to on campus students who are going through a difficult time and need someone to chat to, for pastoral care and support. She is able to support and encourage the student's personal well-being.
