Hi, my name is Mike Bartholomaeus. I studied my Bachelor and Masters in Theology at Tabor Adelaide. I greatly enjoyed my time there and have continued to study theology at a doctoral level at the University of Otago on the chilly south island of New Zealand. My PhD focused on Karl Barth's doctrine of sanctification.

Melinda loves the Bible and is passionate about seeing students engage with it, see how it all fits together, and hear God speak through it. She has been teaching Biblical Studies at Tabor since 2011 and completed her PhD on the Psalms in 2016, looking in particular at ideas of theological interpretation, orality, enactment and imagination.

Melinda is currently the Director of Ministry Accreditation for Baptist Churches SA. She is also the Teaching Pastor at Richmond Baptist church.

Dan recently returned to Adelaide after 21 years serving Jesus in Jakarta, Indonesia - as Biblical Coordinator of the Light and Hope Foundation and as the preaching pastor at the Jakarta International Christian Fellowship.

Dan completed post graduate New Testament studies at Ridley College (Melbourne) and London School of Theology. His passion is to see Christians rediscover the whole story of God in Scripture, and for the Church to confidently re-engage the world with the gospel. After two decades living in an Asian mega-city, Dan is enjoying breathing in Adelaide's clean air and walking the city's beautiful parklands.

Hi! I am Sophie. I am the Head of Undergraduate Studies for the Faculty of Ministry Practice, having completed both a BSocSci (Youth Work) and MDiv at Tabor. I'm hoping to embark on a PhD journey in the next two years. I have been working in the church and Christian NGO space for the last 10 years in the areas of children, youth, young adults, pastoral ministry and justice. I have always been curious and loved learning new ideas and skills. One of my passions is the interplay between what we learn and how we live it out.

Chris has served as a Baptist pastor, and also lectures at Bible College SA in New Testament, Greek, and Biblical Interpretation. He completed his PhD in 2019, investigating the concept of belief in John's Gospel and its relation to ideas of what it meant to be devoted to the gods in the Graeco-Roman religious world. The thesis will be available as a book later this year called Johannine Belief and Graeco-Roman Devotion, published by Mohr Siebeck. His research is available at  https://cseglenieks.hcommons.org/

A former nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy, Andy is a cross-cultural worker with Serving in Mission (SIM). Following eight years in East Africa (Kijabe, Kenya) managing projects and teaching in seminaries, he and his family have just relocated to Adelaide. Andy has postgraduate degrees in divinity (MDiv, Trinity College UD) and physics (M.Sci, Michigan State University) and is presently a DPhil student at the London School of Theology, working on a thesis regarding African interpretations of Paul’s theology. Andy is keenly interested in how different cultures--including the many different cultures present in modern Australia--understand the gospel to be particularly “good” in their contexts.
