I am married to Wendy, and we have two sons, Simeon and Ben.

I am an ordained and accredited pastor with Baptist Churches of South Australia and the Northern Territory. Over the past ten years, I have served as the senior pastor of a multicultural church in Melbourne, seeking to lead the congregation in mission within its local community. I also lectured in Intercultural Studies and Mission at Whitley College in Melbourne.

Prior to this, I served for 20 years as an intercultural worker with Baptist Mission Australia in Malawi. During that time, my roles included church planting, language and culture consultancy, and supporting colleagues to deepen their understanding of local language and culture. I also served as a senior editor for the Ciyawo–English Dictionary project, producing two bilingual dictionaries and two smartphone dictionary applications.
