This subject enables students to pursue their own creative agenda in light of a critical appraisal of the contemporary publishing and media landscape. Students research the procedures involved in preparing an artefact for submission/sale/broadcast, including the need to develop a personal CV and web presence. Throughout, continuities and new trends in publishing are detailed, including the rise of online and vanity publishing, as well as the staples of traditional print media. Students also consider the need for ongoing professional development and further learning and develop skills and strategies to further their creative endeavours beyond graduation.
