DJ is an adjunct lecturer at Tabor College of
Higher Education. A graduate of Tabor Adelaide, DJ has undertaken
postgraduate studies at the University of Nottingham, the Oxford Centre for
Mission Studies, and the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, where he completed
doctoral research in the theology of Karl Barth, focussing on a systematic
understanding of the child in relation to God. DJ is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), and worked for over a decade in executive leadership roles with Compassion Australia. He was an editor
of Theology, Mission
and Child: Global Perspectives (Oxford: Regnum, 2014), has lectured in
several countries, and has presented research papers in the UK, US, and
Australia. DJ is married with two daughters, and lives in Newcastle, Australia.
