Dr Joshua (Josh) Spier lives and works on Kaurna
country (Adelaide, South Australia). He holds a BA and PhD from
Flinders University, and a Master of International and Community
Development from Deakin University.
Josh brings over 20 years of experience working across the
youth, music, local government, not-for-profit and higher
education sectors. Previous appointments include Adjunct Research
Associate at Flinders University, Lecturer in the Youth Work
program at Tabor Adelaide, SA State Coordinator at TEAR
Australia, Recreation, Arts and Cultural Development Officer at
the City of West Torrens, Youth Worker at Baptist Care SA, and
Music Coordinator for the annual Schoolies Festival (Victor
Harbor) at Encounter Youth.
Josh has coordinated courses at Tabor Adelaide, Flinders
University, and the University of South Australia across multiple
discipline areas, including community development, education,
sociology, youth studies, Australian studies, cultural studies
and philosophy.
