Growing up in South Africa, I come to Melbourne as a child. After a troubled adolescence, Christ found me at the age of 21. Excited by my new faith I read the Bible with keen intent. Called to teach, I began theological studies at Tabor College in Melbourne where I found a love for exegesis, theology and history. While I worked in several industries, I was drawn back to teaching and eventually completed a Masters in Theology through Melb. School of Theology, Ridley College and Uni Melb. I have particular interest in exegesis, the history of mysticism and the Holiness-Pentacostal movements; Early church history and 20th Century history. In 2022 I was involved in redeveloping the VCE Texts and Traditions units.
I love to see students come to a greater understanding of the Bible, God's world and our place in His story. My teaching has included: Christian History in a Digital Age; Contact, Conflict and Reconciliation; 20th Century History; The Story of the Church; VCE Religion and Society; VCE Texts and Traditions, VCE Revolutions.
