Chris has served as a Baptist pastor, and also lectures at Bible
College SA in New Testament, Greek, and Biblical Interpretation.
He completed his PhD in 2019, investigating the concept of belief
in John's Gospel and its relation to ideas of what it meant to be
devoted to the gods in the Graeco-Roman religious world. The
thesis will be available as a book later this year
called Johannine
Belief and Graeco-Roman Devotion,
published by Mohr Siebeck. His research is available
